Martins Aleksandrovics (born May 18th, 1978, Daugavpils, Latvia) is a professional FMX rider and MX1 Latvian champion of 2003 and 2004.
Martins started to practice motocross at the young age of 13. Since that time he has permanently developed his skills throughout the years, which has enabled him to become one of the best and well known motocross riders around the Baltic states and Europe.
Martins has participated in five Europen MX Championship Seasons and has taken part in several World Championship events in MX1 and MX3 classes. In 2001 Martins represented Latvia as part of the National MX Team in Motocross Des Nations in Namur (Belgium).
Before he started to practice freestyle he was shortlisted 4 times to represent Latvia as part of its National MX team.
In 2003 and 2004 Martins became the champion of Latvia in MX1 as well as in 2003 he won the Baltic Cup in MX. In 2009 he became the winner of the ROCKSTAR Champion’s race in Latvia.
Year 2010 gave new breath to Martins’ professional career. He was the first rider in the Baltic States (Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania) to perform a back flip with a dirt bike during the event “The Night of the Jumps” in Riga, Latvia.
In 2011 Martins was a warm up pilot for the “Night of the Jumps” show in Riga where he also secured 3rd place in the whip contest. Alex was the only motocross rider in Holland in 2012 who did jump!
At the moment Martins lives and practices FMX in Marbella (Spain).
In the FMX world Martins is known as Alex 801.
